Downloadable Media

It's very innovative what LibriVox has achieved by providing free audiobooks from the public domain. This ingenue idea allows volunteers to read and record chapters of books and publish the audio files on the Internet.

My only pet peeve is that LibriVox, Wowio and HPCL's eAudiobooks, music and videos are NOT compatible with iPods or MACs.

My favorite Hindi song is from the Bollywood movie "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge"
-better know as "DDLJ"

TUJHE DEKHA TO -Lyrics
Chorus:
tujhe dekha to yeh jaana sanam
When I saw you, I understood this, sweetheart:
pyaar hota hai diivaana sanam
love is madness, sweetheart.
tujhe dekha to yeh jaana sanam
When I say you, I understood this, sweetheart:
ab yahaa.n se kahaa.n jaae.n ham
Now where do we go from here?
terii baaho.n me.n mar jaae.n ham
May I die in this embrace!

aa.nkhe.n merii sapane tere
They’re my eyes, but the dreams in them are yours.
dil mera yaade.n terii
It’s my heart, but it houses your memories.
meraa hai kya, sab kuchh teraa
What’s left to me? Everything is yours.
jaan terii saa.nse.n terii
My life is yours, my very breath is yours.
merii aa.nkho.n me.n aa.nsuu tere aa ga'e
My eyes filled with your tears;
muskuraane lage saare gam
all my cares began to smile.

Chorus

yeh dil kahii.n lagtaa nahii.n
This heart won't take anywhere else.
kya kahuu.n mai.n kya karuu.n
What shall I say, what shall I do?
haa.n tuu saamane baiTHii rahe
Yes, stay seated before me,
mai.n tujhe dekhaa karuu.n
so I might look at you always!
tuu ne aavaaz dii dekh mai.n aa ga’ii
You called, and look, I came.
pyaar se hai baDii kya kasam
What oath is greater than love? (i.e., What obligation takes precedence over love?)

Chorus

Mad Word -Lyrics

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Mad World

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Mad World ...

Blog About Technology
Today's technology can give you a lending hand in transferring your LPs and Audio Cassettes from analog to Digital format. It wasn't long ago when it was sad to hear someone not being able to find and replace a music album they own in either LP or Audio cassette format to CD.
My passion for music has made me put a stop to that. I enjoy the challenge and task of preserving those lost sounds, beats, etc. that once where possible to hear and dance to.

Once upon a time in a Library

Discovery Exercise

Exercise 15

On Library 2.0 & Web 2.0

We are definitely on route to a library experience of the future. We need to remind ourselves that library's are a big thinking tank and in time information will be stored in a temporary place.

If we look to the past, a library was an institution or society that cared for its treasured ideas attained by multiple generations. Libraries have been communites that preserve and promote the creation of new memory, yet not limited of composed collections, but rather conversations of people, ideas and artifacts.

Therefore, Librarians are individuals with a unique understanding and relationship of managing documents they compile and catalog. They are the gate keepers of the intimate knowledge of the minds who produced it.
